Obviously we don't have diving boards at CDM - CDM Divers compete at dive meets through their club teams.  Club divers unattach from their club for the CIF season on the Dive Meets website* (instructions below).   Once divers meet the AUTO (Automatic) points required they are eligible to compete for their high school at CIF in May.  There is also a CON (Consideration) point value in the event that the 36 slots to compete at CIF are not filled with AUTO qualifiers.  Detailed information for Diving Standards for 2013 is as follows: (This will be updated as more current information becomes available)

Boys and Girls Varsity Diving Standards

For the 2013 Diving Championships there are both automatic (AUTO) and Consideration (CON) standards.  Swimmers and Divers who achieve the automatic standard will be entered in that event.  Additional entries will be based upon the consideration standards that will be used to fill up the remaining spaces to a maximum of 36 participants

 

Auto Qualifying Points for Championships requires the divers to compete at a satisfactory level to automatically qualify.  They may AUTO qualify with (1) one 11 – dive contest score.  The point qualification is based on satisfactory performance with minimum DD requirements for optional and required dives. 

 

Boys Division 1                  Automatic – 300                  Consideration                  225

Girls Division 1                   Automatic – 380                  Consideration                  250

 

A Diver MAY qualify for the championships by any one of the following methods:

1. Score an automatic qualifying score in their respective division in (1) sanctioned 11 – dive invitational.

2. Score an automatic qualifying score in their respective division in one (1) 11 – dive league championship contest.

3. Rand within the top 36 divers of the division based on CONSIDERATION from one 11 dive contest sheet.

 

TO ENTER AS A CONSIDERATION:  Divers can submit on 11 – dive Contest Sheet for CONSIDERATION with their highest scores from an 11 dive contest, with a score over 225 for Boys or 250 for Girls points.  Divers in the consideration category will be ranked based on that score.  REMINDER:  3 meter diving will be permitted at CIF sanctioned Invitational and CIF_SS Championships only.

 

Divers must compete during the CIF season for their High School at club meets.  All divers must unattach from their club in order to be eligible for CIF.  Divers must earn a minimum number of points in an 11 dive competition at any dive meet during the season (end of February through the end of April)
